LotusDomino服务器是一款基于WEB合作的应用程序架构，运行在Linux/Unix和MicrosoftWindows操作系统平台下。LotusDomino处理LDAP协议时存在漏洞，远程攻击者利用这个漏洞进行拒绝服务攻击。2001年7月，芬兰Oulu大学的PROTOS协议测试小组发现多个供应商的LDAP实现存在漏洞。LotusDominoR5.0.7和早期版本也受PROTOSLDAP问题的影响，可导致缓冲区溢出和拒绝服务攻击。另外LotusDominoR6Beta和pre-release也存在此漏洞。
