NovellGroupWise是美国Novell公司的一套协作通讯系统。该系统提供了电子邮件、日程安排、即时通讯、任务管理、文档管理以及联系人管理等协作通讯服务。NovellGroupWise客户端对口令的处理上存在漏洞，攻击者可能利用此漏洞获取口令。GroupWise的grpWise.exe不能安全的处理认证凭据信息，这样本地攻击者就可以使用pmdump之类的工具临时存储进程的内存，以明文获取用户名和口令。攻击者也可能远程利用这个漏洞。
